Grants

LCCA gives grants to local projects and community organizations to preserve and enhance the history and quality of life in the Logan Circle neighborhood.

LCCA’s giving priorities are: a) neighborhood beautification, b) social causes c) education and d) arts and culture. The average grant size is about $750.

Recent grants awarded by LCCA have helped to fund the maintenance of local parks, the popular Little Goblins Parade and special school programs. In 2020 and 2021, LCCA awarded grants to support families from local schools in need of food assistance during Covid; funds to Studio Theatre for mask-making materials before face coverings were widely available and a grant for operating support. In response to rising neighborhood crime incidents, LCCA donated to Moms Demand Action, which fights for gun control reform. LCCA regularly supports the Logan Circle Main Streets program, most recently with its efforts to brighten the winter season with holiday concerts and lights. LCCA also regularly supports neighborhood schools and in 2021, provided Seaton School funding for library books and backed Garrison Elementary School in its partnership with the national Kindred Program, which helps schools bridge diverse communities.
