William Edward Fischer (Bill) and Drew Mitchell
The Logan Circle Community Association extends its heartfelt appreciation to William Edward Fischer (Bill) and Drew Mitchell. When they settled into the Logan Circle neighborhood, they wanted to be an integral part of the community. They decided they would partner in devoting their resources to the Logan Circle neighborhood with Bill serving on the board of LCCA as Vice President for many years and Drew preparing fabulous lunches and putting together events that always made you feel welcome.
Together, they hosted board meetings, community events, and happy hours in Fathom’s beautiful gallery and terrace. They were instrumental in opening up the intimate Block 242 Alley Party to a larger LCCA audience, making it one of Logan Circle’s favorite summer parties. Bill and Drew also generously opened the Fathom space and their home on the top floor for more than one Holiday House Tour. LCCA and the Logan Circle community have been beneficiaries of this generous engagement for the last ten years.
LCCA is deeply indebted to both of them for their contributions to the neighborhood, and honors Drew Mitchell and Bill Fischer, (posthumously) who passed away on November 14, 2019, as our Local Heroes.
